Doctorate Title: What are paramedics’ experiences of providing pre-hospital maternity care in the UK?

Doctorate Description: This research will explore paramedics’ thoughts and feelings about providing pre-hospital maternity care, identify challenges and barriers paramedics are faced with when responding to maternity calls and explore paramedics’ perceived confidence and competence in managing maternity patients. The research also aims to ascertain if paramedics feel their training equips them with sufficient knowledge to manage a range of obstetric emergencies and investigate whether paramedics feel they carry the necessary equipment to enable them to effectively manage all obstetric emergencies.
