Doctorate Title: Pre-hospital use of tranexamic acid: patient profiles and outcomes after major trauma.

Doctorate Description: This project will focus on pre-hospital TXA administration among trauma patients with bleeding to understand when after injury, and to which patients TXA is given, and importantly not given when it may provide benefit.

The key objective of this project will be to provide evidence for refining guidelines and protocolising TXA use in pre-hospital care for major trauma in both the UK and Saudi Arabia.

The primary outcome was to measure the mortality rate within 12h, 24h, 48h and 28days.

The secondary outcome was to record the development of VTE events (DVT and PE).
