Doctorate Description: The purpose of the proposed study is to determine if paramedics in an urban setting use reflective practice and if it is not used, determine why it is not used. By understanding the potential barriers to the use of reflective practice, it could be possible to develop educational programs to demonstrate how using reflective practice in EMS will help create providers who deliver care more effectively and safely, leading to improved patient outcomes.
