Doctorate Title: Professional Doctorate in Health & Social Care - Entry and Admissions of pre-registration paramedic students within the UK Higher Education Sector. How Admission Tutors create and design those processes.
Doctorate Description: My research is looking at the entry requirements for pre-registration paramedic students within the UK's Higher Education sector and why there are differences across the country. I will explore the decision making process Admissions Tutors have to navigate. What professional experience they draw on to inform their decisions. And what barrier(s) they may face when designing and implementing entry and admission requirements for those seeking to become paramedics through a degree that leads to eligibility to register as a paramedic with the HCPC.
