Doctorate Title: PROBE-Outcomes: Paramedic Response Optimization Based on Evidence-linked Outcomes.

Doctorate Description: PROBE-Outcomes (Paramedic Response Optimization Based on Evidence-linked Outcomes) is a staged research program examining how EMS dispatch and response priorities align with real patient outcomes. It begins with a systematic review identifying gaps in the evidence guiding ambulance response planning, followed by a retrospective evaluation of existing prioritization systems against downstream outcomes such as life-saving interventions, hospital admission, and early mortality. Building on these findings, the program introduces a structured, outcome-informed methodology to safely recalibrate response priorities, with explicit safeguards to protect immediately life-threatening patients. The goal is to support more consistent, evidence-informed, and clinically grounded EMS response planning.
