Doctorate Title: Provision of humanistic maternity care in the out of hospital environment in England: Paramedics' and birthing women's perspectives.
Doctorate Description: Using a qualitative case study approach, this research will ascertain paramedic understanding of, and attitudes toward, the concept of humanistic maternity care in paramedic practice in England. In addition, insight will be gained into the birthing experience of women who have had a birth before arrival (BBA) in the care of paramedics working for an English ambulance trust.
